Bus

Moncton’s first public transit system began in 1896 when electric streetcars operated downtown at a cost of $0.25 per trip. Moncton City Council established Codiac Transpo as a wholly owned city department on August 1, 1980.

Today, Codiac Transpo provides 45 buses on 24 transit routes, which includes the Express route complete with free wireless Internet. All buses are equipped with bike racks during the spring, summer and fall months.
