Codiac Transpo Food Drive on May 26 

Donate non-perishable food items and get a free ride!


MONCTON – Codiac Transpo is partnering with the Food Depot Alimentaire to collect non-perishable food items on Thursday, May 26th. This food drive will take place throughout the day, on all routes. In exchange for donations, customers will receive a free one-way ride. 
“Codiac Transpo is pleased to partner with the Food Depot Alimentaire, and we are confident that our customers will gladly support this initiative,” said Marie-Claire Pierce, Senior Transit Planner for Codiac Transpo. 
“With nearly 6,000 riders daily, we’re certain that this new initiative will be a great success!” added Dale Hicks, president of the Food Depot Alimentaire’s Board of Directors. “Monctonians are known for their outstanding generosity, and this partnership with Codiac Transpo will help the FDA stock up its shelves for the upcoming Holiday season and the winter months.” 
Codiac Transpo thanks the Food Depot Alimentaire for their assistance and coordination of this food drive, as well as CF Champlain for their cooperation in promoting this event.




Due to events at the Casino in May, the #62 Hildegard will not be able to service the bus stop at the Casino, during the times listed.  The bus will proceed on Mountain Rd., left onto Charles Lutes Rd., then left into the parking lot of Petro-Canada.  It will leave from this location on the Casino schedule times.  Please make your way to Mountain Rd., between the Petro-Canada and the Casino Entrance, to catch the bus.  The events in May are as follows;

• Saturday, May 14, 2016 – “Naturally 7”, 8 pm to the end of the day.
• Friday, May 20, 2016 – “Gord Bamford & Joe Nichols”, 8 pm to the end of the day.



The intersection of Champlain and College streets, along with the section of Champlain between  Notre Dame st. and Bras D’or  ave, will be reduced to one lane in both directions. due to roadwork from Tuesday, May 24th until further notice. Bus #93 Champlain may experience delays, as a result.



Bourque Rd., near Chartersville Rd. and Chartersville Rd. near Pascal Ave./ Keith Rd., will both be reduced to one lane due to construction on Monday, May 16th (weather permitting). Bus #94 Centrale may experience delays, as a result.



There will be many road construction projects slated for the City of Moncton and the City of Dieppe.  We are expecting delays to our service because of these projects.  We urge you to please plan on taking earlier trips.  We will post information on the buses of runs that may be affected, specifically:

• #52 Blue Line
• #61 Elmwood
• #66 Caledonia
• #67 Edinburgh
• #93 Champlain
• #94 Centrale

Magnetic Hill Service

Why not allow our Magnetic Hill shuttle service take you to Magic Mountain Water Park and Magnetic Hill Zoo this summer?  Our half-hour service from Plaza Blvd. lets you relax without the stress of driving and parking.

Shuttle service will run daily from June 24th to September 4th this year.  (Schedule)



Construction Season

It’s construction time folks!  Roadwork and detours will slow traffic causing delays in service.  Some construction projects are planned, and some are last minute.  We suggest that customers consider taking an earlier trip in order to arrive at your destination on time.


Accessible Service Advisory:

This is to advise accessible service may experience delays. Passengers who use wheelchairs will be accommodated but travel delays are expected to occur with no prior notice due to ongoing operational issues.

Please refer to the Home page of our web site or go to Facebook for notices regarding any delays, detours or other situations that are affecting our service.


Our drivers do their best to be on time, however road, traffic and weather conditions may make buses a bit early or late. We suggest that customers arrive at their stop a few minutes early, just as a precaution.

Seniors 65+ ride free on Wednesdays 

Proof of age required.


Canadian National Institute for the Blind (CNIB) card holders can travel for free on all Codiac Transpo buses. As sight loss differs from person to person, bus operators may request that a customer show their CNIB card. 


Where a person who has any disability or special need that requires an attendant to travel with them, the attendant shall travel for free.
